DO UNTO OTHERS

You probably know The Golden Rule, which says: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” As followers of Jesus, we are called to be intentional about treating others – even the people with whom we disagree – with kindness, compassion, humility, respect, and love. After all, don’t we want to be treated with these same values?

As another presidential election nears, we know that divisiveness – and anxiety about that divisiveness – are at an all-time high in our country. Yet even in these turbulent times, we believe that together we can listen for Jesus’ voice to remind us what matters most. We can name that there are many things about which we do not agree. And we can come together to care for one another and find a new way forward.

At New Hope, we are all about growing relationships: with God, with one another, and with our neighbors. Our relationships thrive when we put Christ at the center and treat all people with kindness, compassion, humility, respect, and love. So our worship series in October will be centered around the theme “Do Unto Others,” drawing inspiration from Worship Design Studio and the Campaign for Kindness.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

Join us for worship - and invite a friend!
What we need most of all is to come together, and we can't grow kindness, compassion, humility, respect, and love alone. This is a great season to make being in worship a priority in your schedule, and a great opportunity to invite someone new. Our service is at 9:30 am every Sunday.

Stay for Sunday School.
All of our Sunday School classes will be focusing on the same themes we’re considering in worship. Join others for honest and meaningful conversation about how to “Do Unto Others” in our real lives today. There’s something for every age! Sunday School begins at 10:40 am.
